This Gyuto with charred cherry wood handle and carbon fiber bolster is a lightweight chef knife with a Wa style handle (octagon Shape), which lends itself to being comfortable with left or right hand use. The 52100 high carbon steel blade with a rockwell hardness of HRC 60 has a black elite cerakote finish. 9 inch blade. 15 inches overall. 6 oz. Stock removal.
About the Maker: Nick Orr is a Journeyman Smith through the American Bladesmith Society. He works part time out of his home forge in Longview, Texas and full time as a paramedic. He was awarded Best Dressed Fighter Bowie through The Knife Makers Guild in Fort Worth in 2023 and Best Hunter at the Texas Select Custom Cutlery Event in 2023.
