This Hunter is forged from 1084 high carbon steel with a flat ground blade, a long clip point with a slight swedge on the spine. It has been meticulously hand sanded for a uniform crisp finish on the plunge lines, ricasso, and blade. The handle is constructed with a guard that has been shaped and finished very well to complement the transition from the blade to the handle.

The material used for the handle is Oosik. Oosik is a term used by Alaskan natives to describe the baculum of a walrus, seal, and other mammals. Oosik is a very dense bone and makes excellent knife handles. The pommel of the handle has been adorned with a brushed piece of steel to complete and finish the handle. It has a natural curve to it for a comfortable fit and feel in the hand, lending itself to be an easy carry and full time user. Hidden tang. 4 1/8 inch blade, 8 7/16 inches overall. 1084 high carbon steel. Forged. Flat ground.

It comes with a right-handed brown leather sheath with white stitching made by Texas Saddle Maker Bob Bobbit.

About the Maker: Josh Fisher earned his Master Bladesmith stamp from the American Bladesmith Society in 2021 and won the Dr. Carl Nelson Award for the best knife submitted by a Master Bladesmith candidate that year. He enjoys making hunters and fighters and regularly builds high end custom knife orders. Josh and his family live in Murchison, TX. His daughter, Karis Fisher, is an ABS Master Blade Smith also, making them the first and only parent/child Master Smith duos.
